Thailand I ♥ You

Moving to Thailand brought a very necessary calm to my already provoked senses, bringing the balance that I had been seeking. Bangkok being Thailand's hub of commercialism, classism, wealth, tourism and modern culture, like any big city it can certainly be quite a bitch at times. Admittedly, I have more than often escaped Bangkok craving the serene and peaceful ways of life that other parts of Thailand endlessly boasts. But even amidst all the madness and chaos, Bangkok still serves up a daily hum that cannot be replaced in this region of the world, with its comparatively free, liberal and hedonistic society.

It has been over two years now since I moved to Bangkok. Two years of self-discovery, rekindling of my soul, and finding the life I have been looking for. I arrived here on the back of two years in Hong Kong, where I had a life experience richer than I could have ever imagined, learning about the opposite side of the world I was familiar with in London. But with all the good times came the bad, and a very challenging but valuable path of learning was set in motion. An unforgettable set of memories that will effect my every future encounter, that stirred my already vibrant but static state of mind and opened up my thoughts to further realisations that I had never fathomed.
